Your Bridal Hair Trial
Every bride should definitely have a trial. This is an opportunity for you to get to know your stylist and try a few different styles and looks, this way it avoids disappointment and confusion on your wedding day. Remember to always be honest and speak up if you feel the look isn’t suitable for you at the time of the trial.
What to expect: The length of a trial is 1-2 hours for either hair or makeup. 2-3 hours for both hair and makeup. For a sucessful trial, it will be very helpful if you have a clear vision of what look you would like to achieve. Please bring some photos of makeup and hair ideas with you to the trial.
How should I prepare for the trial?
Remember to wear a white or ivory coloured shirt.
Wash your hair the night before, clean hair tends to have more fly-aways.
If you have already decided on hair accessories, bird cage or finger tip veil, feel free to bring them. There is no need to bring your cathedral veil or wedding dress. Please bring with you any photo’s of hair and or makeup idea’s you have.
When should the trial take place?
Trials should be done between 2-6 months prior to your wedding day. Although some brides like to book a trial a year in advance to secure an artist for their wedding day.
The trial location:
I typically schedule my trials at my studio in Toronto,On. However, on your wedding day we will come to your location.
I regularly travel outside the GTA to locations such as Brampton, Woodbridge, Hamilton, Caledon, Orangeville, Stouffville, Cambridge, Kitchener, Waterloo. A fee of $0.60/ km roundtrip (from M6C 3X5, Toronto).
How should my bridal party prepare for my wedding day?
They should arrive 15 minutes before their scheduled time, to settle in, do last minute errands, washroom break etc.
If everyone plans to pay for themselves, please have them pay for their service once finished. We find it helps keep everyone on track.
Hair must be cleaned and dried, it is ideal to work with Hair washed the night/day before.
Please wear a button down top, easier for changing without ruining Hair and Makeup.
We accept cash only for the final payment on your wedding day. Exact change would be much appreiciated.
Your Wedding Hair and Makeup will last all day & night, but it is best to bring and carry with you a lipgloss or lipstick, and blot papers or powder for touch ups.
